Year 3 enjoyed their trip to the World Museum to learn more about Ancient Egypt. They had the chance to touch some real Ancient artefacts and even saw a real mummy!
Once we had completed our poetry unit, I was pleasantly surprised with this lovely poem from one little girl in my class. It almost brought a tear to my eye!
Year 3 really enjoyed having a famous poet, Paul Delaney, come into class to work with them. They produced some great poems!
Year 3 have had lots of fun this week designing and making their own hats for Art week. They started by using card and a balloon to get the initial shape and size and then moved onto using papier mache to strengthen the hat. Once the hat was dry, the children popped the balloons and began painting. Finally, the children added some unique additions to their hats. Watch this space for the final product...
