Our Lady of Walsingham is very proud to advocate the Forest School ethos to promote the holistic development of all those involved, fostering resilient, confident, independent and creative learners.
Taking our children to our very own Forest School area, to take part in activities that will build confidence by taking risks and challenging themselves. We do this through shelter building, tree identification, environmental art, tying knots, whittling, lighting fires and cooking outdoors. Sessions are led by our Forest School leader: Miss Simpson who is supported by school staff. All activities are thoroughly risk assessed and the children will always be closely supervised.
